We have been introduced to many website tools throughout this course, including Wix, WordPress, and HTML. All of which had positive and negative impressions.

I found Wix to be the most usable of website development tools, with the fewest negative impressions. Wix was easiest to use, it had a broad range of design features, and allowed for the most creativity. You could start your website from scratch or choose from a variety of different website templates and go from there. You could add pages, images, text, backgrounds, lightboxes, menus, etc. with ease. I liked that Wix offered free images to use and free applications relevant to the content of your website.

WordPress was somewhat harder to use than Wix. It took longer to figure out how to make a posting, choose an adequate theme, and in general, navigate through options. Although it was somewhat difficult to use, I found it to be a useful tool when it came to sharing the design of your website with others. I think if I were to use the site more I could better understand how to use the features of WordPress and possibly use it in the future.

HTML was the hardest website development tool to use, and was the most time consuming of them all. It was difficult to make a site presentable when there were so many specific details that needed to be included, and if missed, a website that turned into something unlike what you wanted. Although difficult to use, HTML is an interesting design tool and could be much simpler to use with experience.
